NR Barton are delighted with the news that Paul Farrington has joined the board at the Wigan Boys & Girls Club, also known as the Wigan Youth Zone.
Wigan Youth Zone is a purpose built, state-of-the-art youth facility in Wigan town centre which opened in June 2013. It offers young people from across Wigan the opportunity to meet friends, have new experiences, learn new skills and access the support they need to develop and achieve their potential.
The Youth Zone is open to all young people across Wigan aged from 8 to 21, striving to offer something for everyone, regardless of their interests or abilities. With almost 15 dedicated areas to choose from including our four 40-metre floodlit football pitches, art room, music room and climbing wall – there’s something for everyone at Wigan Youth Zone.
The aim of the organisation is simple, to provide the town’s young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.
Paul commented: “I am delighted to be joining a prestigious local organisation as Wigan Youth Zone. It was clear to me that the opportunity to join such a strong board and contribute in a positive way to the future generations of Wiganers. I sincerely hope to contribute to the excellent work of the organisation as it continues to evolve.”
Alongside being a director at NR Barton, Paul is also a trustee at Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles, also known as Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust.
