Every year, a charity very close to our hearts (Wigan Youth Zone), makes a donation of perishable food and other domestic products to over 80 families across the Wigan borough.
The restrictions imposed by Coronavirus have resulted in donations being slow so far this year. However, although things are different, the Christmas Festivities must still go on; Christmas hampers will be delivered directly to the doors of those families who need them. These will include a Christmas meal, gifts off Santa, and a family hamper of food and other domestic products.
Today, 11 December, is National Christmas Jumper Day within the UK. NR Barton are using the Christmas spirit to raise some funds for Wigan Youth Zone (see pictures below). Staff are working today in Christmas Jumpers and making a donation towards the cause.
On top of the money raised by staff, NR Barton are also going to donate a sum of £500 to the same cause. This is a fantastic appeal which is looking to support the less fortunate families across Wigan. Any donation would be extremely appreciated and could help to feed a hungry family this winter.
Wigan Youth Zone is also hosting a stay-at-home event for the whole family to enjoy. The ‘Big-night-in’ and Christmas raffle is open to the public and is the perfect way to get yourself into the Christmas spirit. The raffle includes prizes such as a Diamond Necklace worth £1100, Moschino Sunglasses and a £100 Amazon Voucher, all donated from other local businesses.
Raffle Tickets are £10 and can be purchased through the Wigan Youth Zone Website. All proceeds raised from the Raffle Tickets will go towards the Mission Christmas appeal.
You only have until 12pm on Friday 18th December to enter the raffle, so get your tickets now!
Let’s share the cheer this Christmas.
Sincerely,
Team NR Barton
